What is a Printer?
Printer is one of the output devices that is connected to the computer. It will display what was on the screen of your monitor, once you given the command to print (usually indicated as a printer symbol located on the tool-bar icon).All the application that we have nowadays have the capabilities to print the file that you are working on. It also enable you (the user) to have the option to print the file in a portrait or landscape format, using a variety of paper size for printing and even changing the ink cartridge on the printer itself. Such options varies to the type of printer that is installed onto your computer. There are a variety of different kinds of printers on the market today. Your choice of a printer depends mostly on what kind of printing that you need. Different printer offer users the capabilities to display information in a form of a "hard copy". Notably the most important aspect in selecting the right kind of printer for you (the user) depends of the cost and disposal of printer supplies. For instance, paper can be recycled using the same standard for handling paper mails that you receive. Printer cartridges are a different matter. Throwing away the printer ink cartridge can damage the environment. Consider the option of recycling the ink cartridge that have been used up by purchasing a refill kit where you can refill them yourself. Or by taking them to the supplier so that they can dispose of them safely. Some organization would pay for a specific types of ink cartridges, others might give you a discount in new or refilled cartridges for every one you give them to recycle. Examples of computer printers are: Bubble Jet, Ink-jet, Laser, Dot-Matrix and All in One printer.
